Container Temperature Control Unit
Features
Cost-effective- Each CTCU can maintain up to four ISO tank containers
or truck trailers simultaneously. Heating (or cooling) is only provided when a
container is not at its required temperature.
Flexibility- Each container can be maintained at its own required temperature,
within the range of the heat transfer medium, which may also be specified.
Safe Operation- By using a liquid heat transfer medium, the CTCU affords
control and safety. In addition, a fail-safe independent high-temperature cutoff
prevents damage to product in the unlikely event of a system failure. In steam
based systems, the continuous monitoring and control reduces the lack of
precision found in manual systems.
Record Keeping- The CTCU keeps hourly records of the average container
temperatures, heat transfer medium temperature*, outside air temperature (optional),
time spent heating or cooling each container, plus time spent heating the heat
transfer medium*. These hourly records are kept for ten days and can be printed to a
summary report by connecting a portable printer (optional) to the unit.
(* for liquid based systems)
User-Friendly- The stand-alone CTCU has a liquid crystal display and keypad with
pre-assigned keys and system prompts for easy operation. A multi-level security
system prevents any unauthorized operation. A networked version port enables connecting
with a Supervisory System providing remote access, control, enhanced record keeping,
and system monitoring.
The CTCU Supervisory System- This system enables remote access and control of
up to 30 CTCU's and their respective containers. Thus up to 120 tank containers can be
monitored and data reported. If an even greater scope of operations is desired,
multiple Supervisory systems can be networked to provide a regional to global system.
