Automated Wash System

Problems of "Manual" Wash System Controls
As with any system, the devil is in the details. A variety of problems plague the “manual” wash operation:
  • Time of day and work load can impact the consistency of execution.
  • An employee may skip a step, do steps in the wrong order, or time a step incorrectly. For example, an employee may forget or be distracted and let a process go too long. Conversely, when in a rush, employees may cut times short. These timing errors translate to:
too much = fewer units cleaned
too little = more rejections and poor customer relations
  • The staff may not watch the temperature control
  • The staff may not watch the cleaning agent titer concentration
  • Log entries may be inaccurate or missing.
Advantages of Automated Wash Systems
An ever expanding product list, where each product has different characteristics, demands more specific types of washes. The BSI Automated Wash System coupled with a database can handle the details of these various types of washes. General wash types by category of product can be set up, as well as specific “custom named” washes if so requested.
  • Once Standards are set, the process is easily repeated.
  • Costs can be standardized.
  • Planning is easier.
  • Product characteristics, handling, and safety issues can be directly addressed.
